WatchA good replacement for a dolly can be a carpet under a tripod. The carpet operator will pull the carpet in the desired direction. This quick test was made to figure out timing on a stop-motion animation of a can shaking. The final version will feature a controlled light environment to avoid natural light variation and the putty pegs that support the can will be removed.
WatchNeon sign style animation experiment. The sign and animation were made in Illustrator and Photoshop, rendered in After Effects, and each frame was printed with a HP laser printer. The paper frames were then shot again over a lightbox, and this is the result. The final animation will be mounted around a cylindrical lamp to emulate a magic soup can.
